Internal, Practical Evening.
With a good attendance and a lot of input from everyone, this was a good evening of experimentation and discovery!
Nicky opened the meeting with a presentation of her new toy - a “light blaster”! This is a gadget which can be inserted between a flashgun and lens and hold a slide with patterns and colours. These can then be projected onto a subject or background to give a real boost to an image! I know we’ll see some results of this in future competitions!
Katie Phillips did a sterling job as our model for the session and we had plenty of equipment and props to play with.
I really enjoy these events, being an opportunity to spend time experimenting and taking advantage of the advice and knowledge of our more experienced members.
Thank you very much to everyone who came along to make if a busy and sociable evening and to everyone who brought along their equipment and props. Also, many thanks to Katie for putting up with us and our demands.
Below are a few photos of the meeting, (note how much time we photographers spend on our knees)!
There are no meeting for the next two weeks, because of Easter, so will will be back on 12th April, with the next print competition.
